When looking for new supplies of all that is good in East Anglia, we always try to bear in mind the need to obtain consistent quality materials, sourced within our target of 30 miles from our kitchen.

On this basis the team at Harvest Kitchen are pleased to support Diaper Poultry for our Chicken requirements. Diaper Poultry has long been recognised as a quality producer with animal welfare at the core of its success, even before it was “politically correct” to do so.

About 80% of our pork and ham comes from one of three Free Range farms around the Earsham area near Bungay. The remainder is obtained as required and is provided by smallholders with surplus produce. Pig farmers in East Anglia have been through difficult times in recent years which has required them to become more insular in order to maintain their ability to produce quality free range meat. Remember, we must all respect their need for privacy - when you see a notice saying “No Entry”, be aware that this is for the sake of the animals' welfare.

East Anglia has a wealth of top quality game meat available, both farmed and free roaming. We tend to use just two or three game providers in order to control traceability and some meats can only be obtained as the seasons dictate. Our favoured game meat mix consists of a blend of Venison, Pheasant, Pigeon and Rabbit, with any surplus Wild Boar when available.
